LifeTown is a groundbreaking 53,000-square-foot, two-level facility dedicated to supporting children with special needs. Located in Livingston, NJ, LifeTown is redefining the standard for inclusive recreational, therapeutic, and educational environments. The futuristic complex offers a wide array of amenities designed to foster development, independence, and community engagement.
Features include a black box theater, a three-lane bowling alley, a full-sized gymnasium, an aquatic center with a therapy pool, a teaching kitchen, and sensory-rich tactile rooms. The facility also includes leadership training spaces to support families and community programs. At the heart of LifeTown is the 11,000-square-foot Life Village, a simulated Main Street environment complete with realistic storefronts—a bank, florist, bookstore, salon, pet shop, health-care center, synagogue, and café. Designed with traffic lights, sidewalks, and other urban elements, Life Village helps participants develop life skills in a safe, immersive setting that mirrors real-world experiences.
Another key highlight is a therapeutic indoor play park, thoughtfully designed to resemble an outdoor environment. This space includes a gated entrance, swings, slides, rock-climbing wall, trees, benches, and other park features that provide children with sensory-rich recreational opportunities.
